That attitude will forever make you uncool. People who you think are cool (and thus you latch on and try to be their friends) will be put off by you trying to hard to be like them and buying all teh CD's they have (and, eventually, staying all night at music stores to get new releases before they do and then call them at 7am to tell them how awesome the new CD (and you) are).

I've known a couple kids like that . . . . nobody can stand them. If this is a serious question you need to seriously re-evaluate your life. You need to realize that what music you listen to doesn't make you cool. I know people that are into all sorts of Indie stuff and I can't stand being around them, and I know people who listen to BSpears and are really cool people.

Listen to what you like, even if it is rap.

That said, here is a list of bands that you might want to check out (maybe you have taste similiar to mine . . . )

what the hell do u mean by beside Iron Maiden....they are the best frigging heavy metal band of all time!
 
most of the "popular" stuff that all the "beautiful" people like is all on MTV... usher, lil' jon, some other fags who make millions for making crappy music. just watch MTV and you can figure out what all the popular/beautiful people like.

i myself like heavy metal.
