Are you married? Does she have a mom to talk about the "period stuff?"

If not, have her PM Isla :)

Edit: Haha, Isla has already posted. Yeah, I hear "Retail Therapy" is good for most women.

Edit 2: Sorry, man, but you just got to face the fact that your little angle is growing up. And pretty soon, she won't even want a hug from you, because she'll guard herself so much.

But LOL, if she knew you posted this, you would NOT be in her good graces!

HAHA! When I was 12, I got an infection in my breast, a milk duct or something, its pretty common during puberty. My mom told EVERYONE, and they all made fun of me, holding their chests and such. I was soooo mad at her, I didn't talk to her for a week!!

See?

Being a girl in puberty is bad enough as it is, but WORSE when your parents are broadcasting your every pimple! :D

Seriously, the poor dear sounds like she has had a very emotional time and deserves a treat.

Time to introduce her to Shopping Therapy, if she hasn't experienced it already. ;)

She's already familiar with shopping therapy :) And this coming weekend I'm scheduled to take her to the clothes store....

I bet she appreciates you posting that information to the entire world.

No one here knows her. If this post would have embarrassed her I wouldn't have posted it.

Chocolate therapy and lots of it!

My mother called everybody in the family when I got my first period,I wanted to die of humilation, lol,it ranks up there with the pixie haircut she insisted I needed to have because it was in style, lol,I was 5 ft 8 at the time,no "Pixie" here!

But you never had to walk up to the blackboard with a hard-on. Though it never happened to me, a few of my friends got nailed...

I'm not offended about the act of the period, the fact I was a little taken back by was the fact that your daughter is 11 years old and you are telling a bunch of random people about something private.

And on a sader note, one of her close friends was killed in a car crash this morning.

I can't help her much with the 'period' talk, but she knows I'm there for her. I also had some close friends killed at a young age, so I can relate.

I hope I never have a daughter.

At least your daughter gets her 'friend' at a normal age. It seems so common that girls are getting their periods at like 7-9 now.

What?? My daughter is almost 10. :( :(

I thought 11 was early... I've never heard of 7. Maybe 9 in extreme cases... dear lord...

I hope I never have a daughter either. I'll end up in jail for beating her boyfriends.

Bwahahahahahahahahha

I had conveniently forgotten about that... Man, in 9th grade, I'd get wood if the wind blew. Thank god that was the '80's and tight jeans were in style. Easier to cover it up if it isn't building a tent!!! ;)

ditto, there are somethings you just don't talk about on the internet. would you walk up to a group of random strangers and say "hey, my daughter got her peroid yesterday!" how would she feel if she knew that you just told the world?

Man, losing a friend at 11. Can't even imagine it. I didn't lose someone close to me (who was my age) until 16, that was hard enough.
