This may be the cause of the problem. Many PCI IDE controllers do not support ATAPI drives like optical drives or Zip drives. Try it on one of the motherboard's IDE channels. Unless someone can correct me and say for sure the TX2 is able to support ATAPI drives...I have it plugged into a promise tx2 ata controller card

May I ask why would you need a cd burner if you have the dvd burner as dvd burners also burn cds 🙂
