I believe that these will fit on Athlon 64 motherboards. Also, I'm sure someone will make a clip.

I folded, and ordered the HS and Fan, even though I had concerns about the weight.

I just want to see how much cooler my cpu is going to run with this set up.

I had to fight the urge to buy a bunch of other stuff.

Total was 32 and change, to Los Angeles.

I think the 3200+ is the last chip, but of course, if you have a 2500+ at the 200 bus, it's pretty much the same thing.

Thanks.

AS

To expand on this, in the tests I've seen, AS Céramique is better than AS3. Also AS5 is coming soon-

I actually ran out of AS3 this time, my fault since I reseat my heatsink many times. But the AS ceramique I hear is non-conductive and easy to clean with alcohol. I think these two things are a better tradeoff than 1 degree Celcius lower which AS5 might provide. The thing is, silver paste can get to the point where it is so good, it can't be improved significantly unless you got a new radiactive element that conducts heat better than silver.

got a question for those who has smart fan 2, can you use both the auto sensor and the voltage dial on the SF2? So that when the sensor senses really hot and wanna run the fan at 4800, u can lower the voltage to a certain spot that would be good for the ear?

Anybody know if this will fit on a MSI K7T Turbo2 v5.0? (KT133A chipset)

Just curious ...

This looks very tempting. I wonder how this along with a ~21dBA fan will do in comparison to my trusty AX-7 and Panaflo L1A that I've had for a long time.

I agree that some site should publish a heatsink review with all the popular ones: AX-7, SK6+, SLK-800, SLK900 etc.

Well, if your AX-7 works then why replace it? Although I know how it feels, you think when the deal is this good why not?

If you have an extra 20$ go for it!

Hey guys, I have the ZM-1, ZM-2, and a Panaflo M1A 80mm. I would say the Zalman's aren't that bad. They are pretty quiet to me. My AMD Stock HSF is what I hear. I have two ZM-1's and one ZM-2 in my case and I can't hear anything besides the 60mm fan on the hs and the powersupply fan when it starts jumping up in RPMs when I'm playing games. Though you should know that 92mm zalman only puts out 28cfm not 38cfm at the silent setting. I will let you know the temps I get with that 92mm fan assuming it all fits in my tiny case. The one thing that sux right now in my case is the air flow. But more air flow=more noise so I haven't decided what to do. By just taking the front cover of my top 5.25 slot out my cpu temp drops by 5 degs and my PSU goes silent(drop from 2000rpms to 1600rpms on the 80mm fan). I also grabed a smart fan 2 from svc to see if I can get better air flow. So essentially I may end up replacing 1 or both of my Zalman ZM-1's since their 20cfm's just aren't doing anything.

Please post your results/experiences. I will post once I get the HSF sometime this week.

How did you measure the Zlaman's CFM rating?

I didn't, it said that on their website before they took it off.

Here is a link to their webform where they say it is 27CFM.

well thats pretty dissapointing. SVC is mis advertising it then. That pisses me off

Well, I doubt they are doing it on purpose. When the ZM-F2 was first released, it was rated at 38cfm in silent mode, same thing happened with the ZM-F1 which was rated at 26cfm in silent mode but Zalman later changed the specifications and since most people only put the description/specifications of the product in when they first add it, they never realized Zalman changed the specs a few months later. I had the same problem with case-mod.com and I emailed them and they went ahead and updated their information on the ZM-F1.

Yeah, I didnt really expect that SVC did it on purpose. Oh well, it's still not a bad fan i'm sure, and if need be I can get a tornado later.

I just ordered one of these, gonna use it to replace my Sk-6+ w/ 80mm 50.2CFM fan for this and a 92mm 51Cfm fan, should cut down on the noise and give just as good cooling for my 2500+ @ 3200+ :)

I believe the Vantec Tornado and the Thermaltake Smart Fan 2 can do 70+cfm's at 80mm.

I have a Tornado and you must use ear plugs or get something to slow the thing down. I have a fan controller and the most I can stand is half throttle.....
