oh poor baby. So you have been conditioned to fear. Congratulations.

I've had to wait in lines 🙄

fucking really? What the fuck do you call this?

Luckily for you only the poor and stupid had to actually go to war back then.

I dont watch tv. I havent since I was 15. In fact I worked day and night for about 10 years.

eh?

Yes.

Have you?

Actually yes I have.

oh look. Your points have all been refuted.

No they haven't, especially the one where I claim you are a whiney little bitch.

Tell me Princess, what hardship have you had to face?

I have nothing to prove to you. And you calling me a whiny bitch and a princess shows me you are certainly homophobic. Thats another problem that will pass with your generation. Ta Ta lover.

I will say one thing for the boomers though. When I was young we worked in the fields with the Mexicans. To later generations those have become "jobs Americans won't do."

They still do, but only in those evil red states. I've known plenty of people raised on farms around here who do fun and exciting jobs like corn detassling. Or maybe they don't anymore due to regulation preventing things like child abuse and learning valuable life lessons through work experience.

Lol homophobic🙄 What I was infering too is that you are an entitled little wanker. Look wimp we are all lucky to be born in this country. Even with the perceived hardships you imagine we are still way better off than most othe the other people in this world. You sir are an embarrassment to mankind.

Even though I'm a Boomer, George Carlin (boomer too) had a great take on it:

The Baby Boomers: whiny, narcissistic, self-indulgent people with a simple philosophy: "Gimme that! It's mine!" These people were given everything, everything was handed to them, and they took it all, sold it all; sex, drugs, and rock 'n' roll, and they stayed loaded for twenty years and had a free ride. But now they're staring down the barrel of middle-age burnout, and they don't like it. They don't like it, so they've become self-righteous, and they wanna make things hard for young people. They tell em abstain from sex, say no to drugs. As for rock 'n' roll, they sold that for television commercials a long time ago so they can buy pasta machines and StairMasters and soybean futures. You know something? They're cold, bloodless people. It's in their slogans, it's in their rhetoric: "No pain, no gain," "Just do it," "Life is short, play hard," "Shit happens, deal with it," "Get a life." These people went from "Do your own thing" to "Just say no!" They went from "Love is all you need" to "Whoever winds up with the most toys, wins", and they went from cocaine to Rogaine.

I absolutely agree with you that each and every one of us who has been born in this country are lucky. But some of us have squandered the fortunes provided. I don't expect there to be any low hanging fruit left but for you to state that your generation didn't take more then their fill is being dishonest to yourself.

I have so much positive reinforcement in my life your little name calling sprees mean nothing. You go from princess to wimp? Do you think women are weak or something? another throwback to yesteryear?

Absolutely correct. That man was a prophet.

Now we have the "ME" generation, They don't want to pay as we did for Social Security, Medicaid, Welfare, etc. It's my money and no one can have any of it.
Each generation has it's own downfalls.

Because the "Baby Boomer" were such a big population growth spurt, everything they do, no matter how small the percentage of the group is involved, has a big impact.

True, I wonder if it will be there for me when I retire. Kinda like Health Insurance, you pay, but if you get sick, good luck collecting.

No one is sure when things are going to run out. I suspect that my benefits will be cut before I have a chance to collect, but what the hell. No point in whining about it.

These wankers seem to be ignorant of the fact that many Boomers had planned for retirement, but then the leveraged by outs kicked in and the retirement of a whole generation went poof. At least we have 401k's

As for medicare, I've probably paid more into it than some complaining have made in their lives. Simply return it to me and I won't need medicare.

I mean if the complaint is that people aren't going to collect what they have paid in then give everyone what they contributed back.

Jstorm, write Obama and Pelosi a memo.

what's a WWII princess? 😛

I'm a solid generation X'er and all my life all I know is work and pay into a system that I doubtfully will be benefit from years down the road when (or if) I retire. I'm pretty sure they will will raise the retirement age at some point so things don't look too good at this point at all for my generation.

It might sound like you're getting fucked when they raise the retirement age, but you're really not. The government needs to pay out your pension for more years because you are expected to live longer.....soo..... theoretically you should pay into it longer 😉

A few decades ago, you would retire 65 and just expect to be dead at 75 from random causes. Right now medical science is still improving, so people live longer and longer. The chance of you living to age 90 is projected to be much higher than the chance your dad will live to 90. He only gets artificial hearts; in 30 years we might have artificial lungs for smokers, artificial testicles for liberals, artificial hearts for conservatives, etc. Wait I already said we have artificial hearts. Never mind that last one.

Oh you have it so tough. Know anybody that had Polio? Ever have to do that head under the desk and kiss your ass goodbye Nuclear Attack Drill? Ever have to wait in long lines to get gas? Ever have to go through numerous Recessions? Ever have to worry about getting drafted to go to a shit hole to fight a bullshit war? Ever have to deal with just having 4 channels to watch on TV? Ever been forced to watch Lawrence Welk? Ever have to actually deal with people face to face instead of talking shit on the Internet? Ever been told you can't eat at a restaurant because the color of your skin? Ever have a cop bust down your door because they thought you were smoking pot?

Yeah that shit seems trivial (well some of it) compared to what the GG went through, well so does your percieved problems that you haven't encountered yet. If your generation is worth half a fuck they'll deal with it and come out smelling like a Rose. In fact I think they will, just the few of you whiney little bitches are making the rest look bad.

The whining must be from the pain of their carbal tunnel caused by joystick thumb.

attributed to Socrates by Plato

"The children now love luxury; they have bad manners, contempt for
authority; they show disrespect for elders and love chatter in place
of exercise. Children are now tyrants, not the servants of their
households. They no longer rise when elders enter the room. They
contradict their parents, chatter before company, gobble up dainties
at the table, cross their legs, and tyrannize their teachers."
"Those who cannot learn from history are doomed to repeat it." – George Santayana
