Baby boy survives for nearly two days after abortion

It appears that between 1000 and 2000 babies 22 weeks or older are aborted each year in the US.

BTW...a baby at 20 weeks hears and recognizes its Mother's voice...and the general consensus of the scientific community is that they also become capable of perceiving pain at this point. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neonatal_perception

I wonder what it feels like to be a "Candy Apple Baby"?

Here's a list off the most common abortion techniques.

This just in, medical procedures are unpleasant.

How many of those abortions happened after 22 weeks because the mother did it for shits and grins? I'm willing to bet that number is significantly smaller then the number who did it for valid medical reasons.
But if the rightwing nuts keep on murdering doctors, you won't have this problem anymore, and you guys can have your dream of the women having to get backalley abortions or throwing themselves downstairs, because that's what they deserve in your eyes.

Yes...I imagine that dying from an abortion is unpleasant after 20 weeks...and that surviving an abortion attempt is probably much worse. Tell me about compassion...maybe I can learn something from you.

I don't know...how many?

I'm willing to bet that number is significantly smaller then the number who did it for valid medical reasons.
I hope you're right...please support your argument with facts. And good luck with that...93% of abortions are done for birth control reasons.

How many doctors have been murdered by nut cases since Roe vs. Wade? Nine? Now how many abortions have been performed since Roe Vs. Wade? I think the count is well over 50,000,000 by now.

And who exactly is "you guys" anyway? And tell me who the hell is advocating "backalley abortions or throwing themselves downstairs"? Do you have some kind of mental issue that prevents you from thinking beyond a your imagined stereotypes? Seriously....what is your problem?

And how many 22-week-olds would survive outside of the womb? Not a statistically significant number.

A statistically significant number of AIDS patients die, 100%, so it seems that even one baby living outside the womb at 22 weeks has a statistically higher survival rate, at 100% than the AIDS patients we continue to treat.

AIDS patients are treated because they usually have insurance of some kind. Their disease isn't the rationale for treating or not treating their condition.. insurance or ability to pay is. That's not at all the same as abortions of 22-week-olds.

hell yeah, these aborted people are alive and have a will to live. Naysayers are murderers.
There is no refuting this. There are only attempts to justify the desire to murder for convenience (convenience of not having a baby).

Insurance? You don't have to have insurance to receive life saving treatment, as evidenced by the fact that the baby was put in intensive care.

Yawn... Who cares... I'm sure this happens all the time. Life wants to live. Is it so shocking? Look at the slaughter houses when they try to kill cows. A lot of them don't die the way it was planned. Yet you still eat that hamburger knowing the animal had to suffer a few minutes longer. Horrible ? You bet!

Face it... Anything alive wants to live. So another Troll Thread IMO. I'm sure when you die or I die it's not going to be a pleasant ordeal.

The loony lefts lack of compassion, and desire to kill babies is a sickening thing. Comparing a human baby that survived an abortion to a cow in the slaughterhouse tells everyone you are a disgusting human.

If only everyone demonstrated as much compassion for the people actually here already as they do for the unborn, then perhaps abortion wouldn't really be such a big issue.

But we're not allowed to do that...it's too...inhumane...

Mmmmmm hamburger.

No one walks willy-nilly into an abortion clinic. YEAH LET'S KILL SOME BABIES!! YEEHAW. 🙄

For the drugs that slow (and sometimes stall) the progression of HIV to AIDS, yes, you need insurance or the ability to pay.

HIV/AIDS isn't an instant-death disease.

If you are against safe legal abortions, it stands that you are for dangerous illegal ones, because women are going to continue to have abortions, no matter what you want.

But hey, late term abortions are going to be pretty much impossible soon, as thanks to the fucking retarded pro-life movement, there aren't going to be any doctors left who can do it. Now some women will have to carry a baby to term that might kill them, which only a few years ago could have been safely dealt with.

Yeah. We should legalize all crimes that occur despite their illegality.

Safely dealt with = killing a child. I suppose that's safe. Horrible? Also yes. Civilized? Hardly.

Not as well as it did for the liberals, unfortunately.

Judicial activism is never a good thing.

Then I'm sorry, but it seems your opinion has no more basis than you think mine has.

Sure it does.. because, with data, mine would be applicable to the majority of the unborn. Yours wouldn't. I don't know what the magic number of weeks would be for most of the unborn, but that doesn't mean such a number doesn't exist.

I'm sorry, but this is fucking horrifying.

We now know that a child has a chance of survival outside of the womb at 22 weeks gestation. Are you going to seriously contend that this child wasn't a human being? Or perhaps will you say that simply the "chance" of survival doesn't indicate 100% certainty, and as such we retain the right to roll the dice with the kid's life?

Call this an emotional appeal, but I don't see how people can be calm and analytical about this.

5.5 months... sounds close to viable to me.

I think these doctors need new educations.
