AZIO Retro Typewriter Keyboard. Anyone have this?

I'm trying to notice all the little details that can "make or break" a keyboard for folks. What should I pay attention to?

As for the noise of the key presses, I really love the clacking sound the keys make, but as always YMMV.

The Blue switches are much nicer then the simplified Alps switches my previous board used. They take less effort and not as tiring when typing.
 
I'm interested in hearing how key surfaces hold up to finger wear. Also, any keys stick? My MGK-1's right Alt-key likes to stick - much like caps lock.

Thanks for the advice. I just put a WASD 6-Key Cherry MX Switch Tester on my wish list.
 
I just started checking out 10-keyless boards (in case my new desk can't accommodate a full size keyboard).

No-name switches ... but it's retro, and white backlit. Those multi-purpose keys though - too crowded - so ... not an option for me.

Oh look, AZIO makes a full-on gamer retro model with macros and media controls. The Armato Classic Edition. Not that I care but it might interest others.

Good link. It also shows a backlit Azio gaming board. All share the round keys. These might lessen the two key typo strikes.
 
Came back to this section from the quick links, and thought I'd give an update on the Azio. No change really, but I am happier with the purchase. The keyboard feels great, looks great, and no flaws have appeared. I'm still fat fingering letters, and still typing numbers faster, which suits my particular work. I don't type letters enough to really get used to a keyboard, or have a different keyboard be a major pain point.

My biggest complaint is the space bar sounds very different from the other keys, and being naturally paranoid, I imagine someone could listen to me type, study the cadence, and figure out the letter length of my retardedly long passwords... Gotta think of something when I'm doing boring work :^D

I'm thinking that each switch makes the same sound while typing aside from the spacebar. So I doubt that you need to worry at all.

Oh, they're definitely different. The space bar makes a higher pitched tick, and since I'm not really a typist, it punctuates everything I write as opposed to being a blur of clicks. I'm not really worried about it, but it's a notion that's crossed my mind. If I were CIA in an embassy, it would concern me more.

I would be more worry about using a wireless keyboard or keyloggers then the sound of keystrokes while typing.
