This brings back fond (not) memories of freezing my ass off and getting screamed at through the night whenever a boiler went down in one of the buildings I managed. I don't miss it.

Be careful man. Lighting the pilot light on my water heater was one of the scariest things I'd ever done. I highly reccomend that if you go that route, turn off the gas before hand and make 100% sure that the area is completley vented out, then go outside and get a good 12" long, dry stick. Use that as your match so you don't have to have your hand in the opening.

I honestly don't think I have an actual pilot light that's on all the time. I think it's electric...

I know jack-****** about this and it's getting colder by the minute inside. Aarrrghh.

If you've never lit the pilot then you have an electric igniter. Which is probably bad.

50F daytime and very low 30s at night. That's pretty much the current temps.

There should be a control board on the unit with light codes. If the pilot works but the burners do not ignite check the draft inducer motor/vent. Could be some leaves have clogged the vent on the roof or something. Just a random suggestion. good luck!

There's not much to a furnace. If you have a pilot light and it's not lighting, it's probably the thermocouple.

4 burners @ MAX FTW.

Duh, yeah, turn your oven on 500 and leave the door open. Put a fan in front of it if you have one. Some nerds may tell you that's not a good idea, but fcuk them.

Used to be that way. Now they have circuit boards in them.
