Peanut Butter Snickers.
I don't eat candy in general (generally just don't have the taste for it), but that would change if peanut butter snickers came back.

Spicy corn chips.
Not those crappy spicy Fritos, but the rectangular corn chips with the red-orange spicy coating. They can still be found in every bag of "Party Mix". When I was a kid, one could buy these chips by the bag, without being mixed with anything else. I've looked for them for years (I probably last saw them for sale ten or twelve years ago) without luck. Every time I travel to someplace new, I stop in a grocery store to look for them, but so far they've alluded me. I know they're still being made, since I can find them in party mix, so I keep holding out hope that I'll stumble on a bag in a supermarket somewhere. If I do, I'll probably buy every bag that's on the shelf... ;)

Say what you will, but this link helped me find some Jello Pudding Pops just this past summer. Give it a shot.

I also have been unsuccessful in finding Planters Cheese Balls lately. No other brand comes close.

I tried the "new" Jello Pudding Pops last year and they didn't taste near as good as they used too. They weren't creamy anymore either. :(

Tasted like they added a lot of Water to the Pudding mix.

Yep, and I'm glad to see quite a surge in old folks around here. There have been alot of the 40's-60's crowd around and even a few 70's lately

Obviously, MS Dawn couldn't rely on his own memories so he happened to find some listing of discontinued products which he copy/pasted.

Both items I actually remember are on this list:

Marathon Bar

Wikipedia entry for Marathon Bar

Crispy Wheats 'N Raisins (General Mills)

Candy cigarettes

Such an evil heinous idea, but they tasted good.......kind of like a raw sugar with faint hint of peppermint....they were even better when they went a little stale and got a little chewy.
I can still find them, thankfully though, the price hasn't skyrocketed like the real thing (30 cents vs $6).

Where can you get them? I thought they were all discountinued because they didn't want kids to smoke. They were very tasty.

I just remembered when I was young, they had flavored microwavable popcorn.. like sour cream & onion. That was insanely good and I haven't been able to find it since, though I haven't really tried to look much.

Boo-Berry cereal. Turn your toilet blue!

They still sell that...we just bought some. It looks nothing like the old stuff though.

There WAS a monster cereal with a wearwolf that was fruit flavored, but that one disappeared. Anyone know what that was called?

You're looking for Fruit Brute.

I also remember these ice cream toppers that were little tubs of chocolate (some had peanuts or krispies, maybe otheres) that you would melt in the microwave and then pour on to ice cream. Made a hard chocolate layer kind of like Magic Shell, but much better. Loved the krispies one.

The old Good & Fruity's (they had a hard shell with a harder, chewy core, unlike the jelly bean like versions of recent times), and Red Pepper Tostitos. I have no idea why they ditched either of these.

I talked to a friend of mine last night who is someone "in the know" who works at Pepsi and mentioned this thread. She said Livewire is still actively produced and no plans to discontinue it, but since its not a staple of the lineup, its up to the individual Pepsi distributors in each city as to whether they carry it/market it or not. So thats why it might be a bit more common/non-existant in some areas vs. others. Its available to distributors everywhere, its just a matter of whether they decide to offer it in their markets or not.

:Q Tell me you didn't just type all of that!

No I had no idea the list was that long and could not edit then for some reason - it came from a site that lets you buy most of those discontinued products! Check it out!

ooh, just thought of another one:

Fantastic Four gum. It came in a pouch like Big League Chew, but had 4 different flavors/colors, and all were awesome.
