My buddy and I thought that WE were the only ones that like New Coke (or CokeII). Not that it was better than the original, but it was good.

I don't eat much fast foodanymore, but I'm sad to hear that the BK Broiler has gone... I used to get them all the time.

I also liked the Pizza Hut P'Zone and whatever it was called before that... I thought that they were quite good.

Back in the late 80s, I worked at a grocery store that had a frozen pizza called a Superrosa. It was a Chicago style stuffed pizza, and it was AWESOME. Better than anything any chain has right now. (besides Chicago eateries) :) Sadly, I can't find a mention of them anywhere...

And Gatorgum ROCKED! I loved that stuff. Fruit Punch (gum and drink) FTW!

Tombstone Doubletop pizzas were quite good. Suprisingly good for frozen pizzas.

Taco Bell used to have triangle shaped crispy tortillas with sugar and cinnamon. Holy crap, were those good. They replaced them with some lame Churros, but they weren't nearly as good.

And thanks to the people that mentioned the Marathon bars. I remember having them as a kid. I forgot what they were called. Great stuff! Let's see that come back as some retro candy!

I think I about made myself sick on these once. You could get them at the dollar store and mmmmmm

orbitz and crystal pepsi

The thing I remember best however was penny candy. doesn't matter what kind but that was such a fond childhood memory going to the sub shop and getting all kinds for only a penny. A dollar was gold then to me. I would make myself sick of eating it and then go eat some more a week later!

I gotta agree... Banana candy is AWFUL! Then again, I don't mind bananas, but I hate banana FLAVORED anything.... Pie, candy, bread.... :) Same with apples. Most apple FLAVORED stuff is awful to me. However, I know I'm a mutant when it comes to food. :)

For the McRib fans, go to Sam's Club and get a box of THESE. At least until they show up as a promotional item at your local McDonald's again. :p

I really really liked the McDonald's Premium Spicy Chicken Sandwich, but it seemed to go as quickly as it came. I know the Wendy's Spicy Chicken is the usual fan favorite, and I do like that one too, but the McD's one was different, and I really liked it, was bummed that it was no longer avail =(

That's what I was thinking of when I opened this thread. That's really weird.

I also vote for Crystal Pepsi, even though it's not food.

Edit: After posting this, I was thinking of those blueberry things. Then I read the rest of your post. Are you stalking me?

They still make Andy Capp Hot Fries, Cheddar Fries, Salsa Fries, and a few other varieties. Is that what you're talking about?

They had just "regular fries" which they don't carry anymore for some reason :(

and crispy critters. my hamster used to love those things.

I talked to a friend of mine last night who is someone "in the know" who works at Pepsi and mentioned this thread. She said Livewire is still actively produced and no plans to discontinue it, but since its not a staple of the lineup, its up to the individual Pepsi distributors in each city as to whether they carry it/market it or not. So thats why it might be a bit more common/non-existant in some areas vs. others. Its available to distributors everywhere, its just a matter of whether they decide to offer it in their markets or not.

Livewire has been reintroduced nationwide. It's in nearly all the main grocery chains right now. 12 pack cans mostly though.
