well, I talked to the liquer store guy today and was told that in Washington State any grain alchohol (everclear in both 151 and 190 proof) is regulated by the state and can only be obtained with a permit for medical or industrial use. The guy actually reccomended smirnoff blue label 100 proof as a good alternative as apparently alot of restaurants here in Seattle that make their own limoncello use it and it works great.

As for pronunciation... say limon like your a wierd french dude (le-mon) and cello like the intrument, then put them together and you have it. Don't extend out the 'i' pronunciation, I just thought the dash made it look good. If you are still unsure then mumble or cough while saying it to cover and mistakes

Hi all, I haven't read the whole thread, (bit tipsy for that) anywho, here in Virginia everclear is not legal. Can't buy it anywhere in the state. Bacardi 151 is the strongest you can buy here. Oh yeah I want to ask yalll a question. I was going to start a thread about it, but i might as well just use this one. Okay, I have some 160 proof vodka, and it's a little strong, so i poured some water in it, and it turned milky white. Is is still safe to drink? hmm, doesnt taste bad. I just dunno what caused it to change colour. Does anyone know why it changed, or if I should stop drinking it?

hmmm, dunno about that, seems a bit strange to me. I would not drink it just out of concern it might not be so healthy, though water and vodka seem like a safe combination to me. I mean a screwdriver is vodka and orange juice and orange juice is mostly water. just my opinion

hey hey hey! I'm a student at Virginia Tech! I just got a B+ (3.3) in General Chemistry for Engineers. I'm fairly pleased with my GPA, I got a 3.6 this semester, that means I made dean's list. (kinda like honor roll.) My stupid english class is what pulled my GPA down to a 3.6, if not for it, i would have a 3.8. i hate english. oh BTW, i drank it all, and it tasted yummy. I need to get some more of this stuff. good luck with your everclear search!
