Yep definitely fall. I first noticed from the temps. Here in southern tier NY it's been very cold at nights lately. Till today it's 90° then back to 60°s. Anyway I have noticed leaves changing pretty quick. I was talking to my parents a week ago and I mentioned a few leaves turning. Within days there's quite a difference.

We can all agree that fall is the best season though right?
Unless you live in one of those horrible "its-the-same-shit-year-round-climates".
Fuck that noise. Leaves look cool and all but all it does is remind me that its about to get really fucking cold for what will seem like forever.

Now, a nice warm (but not too warm) spring after a long cold winter is where it's at. I always look forward to spotting the first sundress of the year. That is a season I can get behind.

Oh man, I'm dying for some fall colors. The evergreen NorCal is starting to get to me. My wife and I went to Plumas county a couple of times where they have deciduous trees, but it's not much really. There are some birch spots around Lake Tahoe, too.

I want to go to Vermont for a week-long getaway. I'll be for a week in Denver on Oct. 12 for work. Don't know if I'll be able to go see something something beautiful.

If not, walk around the city-area parks like Cheeseman, City, Washington, or the Capitol Hill area in general. There's probably more variety in color there from residential/city plantings than the native deciduous trees in the mountains anyway.

The yellow Aspen growths by far overwhelm color from other leafy trees. Still an incredible sight though, especially with the mountains. Also, by Oct. 12, much of the leaves will already have fallen at the high elevations.

NJ's just starting to color up. Not the same as some of the spectacular mountainside views from VT etc. but pretty darned good.

Kenosha area is nice. Also some cool trails up there. Camping not far out of Jefferson as well.

Crested Butte is supposedly pretty awesome in the fall, but it's pretty out of the way.

Leaf Peepers are out in full force for the next few weekends, understandably, because there is no place prettier in the Fall. The maples especially are gorgeous this time of year.

Leaves are definitely not at peak yet, but here's a pic not too far from where I live that I took yesterday:

OP, I envy you.

While I will be out sunbathing in the middle of February here in FL ... you will be under a blanket of white ... and I will still be envious.

The leaves are changing early this year (NY.) It's a shame that we're having 40+mph winds here today, blowing a lot of the bright leaves off the trees. Then again, it's blowing the leaves from my maple trees into the neighbor's pasture. :) But, I have a whole forest behind me and the leaves are blowing from there to my yard. :( But! The goats like leaves. So, if the goats can keep up, I won't have to rake.

huh almost everything is green up here

ill take a pic once my phone is done installing this rom

Wow that's nice. Too long of a road trip for us right now though. We're going to try to get up in to RMNP this weekend or next, hopefully before the color is all gone.

I don't know what seasons are. We don't have any over here.

Your "seasons" are even more "averaged" than ours are. Here, we have Very Hot, and Rainy & Foggy...with not much in between.

Our "spring and fall" seasons are usually only a couple of weeks each.

But fortunately...no fucking snow...unless I want to make the 1-1/2 hour drive. (which I've only done once in 23 years.)
