Leaf Peepers are out in full force for the next few weekends, understandably, because there is no place prettier in the Fall. The maples especially are gorgeous this time of year.

Leaves are definitely not at peak yet, but here's a pic not too far from where I live that I took yesterday:

I'll challenge that and say WI is pretty fucking incredible in the fall.
Especially if you head up north a bit.

I dont have access to mine at home.
I assure you, it's more beautiful here.
AND we don't have Yankee/Mets/Jets/Giants fans to deal with.

Mets? I don't think I've ever heard a Yankee/Met argument, it's all Sox and Yankees here.

I've lived in both places. More variety in New England, more maple in New England (good for bright reds) and if you get up into the NH or Vermont mountains, some pretty spectacular vistas. But WI is no slouch either. Horicon Marsh when the bird migration is in full force is awesome.

I have relatives there who are Yankee/Giants fans so don't think you cheeseheads are the only ones in Wisconsin.

That's really the only thing I miss about the north east. Autumn is beautiful in upstate NY. The rest of the year pretty much blows though.

lol

green bay, where all the streets are just named numbers, and all schools are named after Vince Lombardi ;)

Oh well they will get weeded out there regardless.

Not ALL the streets are numbers... We have what was formally Minnesota Ave now named after Aaron Rodgers :)

I'm sure all the Brett Favre street signs had to be trashed.... if only he would've retired from the Packers. he used to be such a god there.

I can drive up to the local mountains and see snow in the winter time. It's only about an hour and a half from here.

Gods Country.
Nothing like going out on a fall Sunday morning, playing some football, and then going inside to watch the Packers play. The smell of the leathery football mixed with the crisp autumn smell...heaven.
Oh, and having brats being grilled. Got to have that.

Nice shot. That's the one thing I miss about the Northeastern US. Otherwise, too humid in the summer, too cold in the winter, and most of it is too crowded all year.

The heat is on here as well. Only 90 or so today, but supposed to be in the upper 90's by Tuesday. Pretty typical...summer gets in one last parting shot.

I grew up in western Mass. The fall colors in the Northeast are spectacular. IMO, the best in the nation, although many other places have nice fall colors as well.
I also miss the fall colors in the Rockies. The quakies turn a nice shade of gold before the leaves go...

But when they change...you know, snow is right around the corner...
