Yeah, I wasn't giving into the hype, but I tried them last year. They truely are the best tasting apple around.

Never had one until last week when a co-worker gave me a slice, awesome stuff. Pricey, $2.99 lb at the store but got some for work.

Selected in 1974 as the B.O.D., and released in 1991, the Honeycrisp, once mistakenly slated to be discarded, has rapidly become a prized commercial commodity, as its sweetness, firmness, and tartness make it an ideal apple for eating raw. The Honeycrisp also retains its pigment well, and boasts a relatively long shelf life when stored in cool, dry conditions.

Have never had them, and was interested in trying them when I was browsing the apple section at Kroger. Though I had no idea what they looked like, and could not find any of the pre-packaged bags of them.
After looking at the wiki for them, apparently they were the apples that were on both end sections in massive numbers. Dammit. But yeah, kind of pricey for an apple. But I love apples, and people have been describing this as the best apple to eat raw. Gotta find out if that's true.

It's an apple soaked in white grapejuice. I thought they tasted like apples soaked in grapejuice, which is really not all that special.

I've tried them and they are too sweet for me. Back in University I used to volunteer at the apple festival every year, so I've tried about a million different varieties of apples, but I always go back to old faithful.

Ahh..

Yeah, I just love the crunchiness and tart sweetness of Granny Smiths. I like other apples too, but it's hard to beat granny smith's crunch.

 
Honey Crisp are simply the best fruit ever. Proof there is a God cuz nothing could evolve that perfectly (yeah yeah I'm sure they are some genetically modified version of some other species).
