Ok. I should be cruising in the small D right? Is the Big-D just more torque?

No it's going to provide the least amount of power of all your gears it's only really for cruising purposes (Above 45-55 depending on your gear ratio's), If your Towing/Hauling/Passing you shouldn't even use this gear at all. When you mash on the padal to pass it'll drop right out of OD.

It was a rhetorical question

Oh ;)

No you can shift between them at any time, I keep mine in 3rd (Little D) All the time until I hit the highway then I make the shift on the onramp.

Ok cool. If I break the transmission, expect a call from my parents ;)

It's cool I broke my stock one on purpose. Neeed the excuse to put in a better TC and have the thing built. I did it a little differently, I put 550Lbs of torque to the thing and raced a season. Actually the thing after 1 full year of racing was still working just fine for normal driving but when I raced it would slip. But now thats ALL fixed :) Guy in TN did it for $1600 with a core even.. That was less then from the dealership for a OEM one. This one is great Every gear gives you a nice *Bam* into gear feeling. :) No Slip whatsoever
