so my friend borrowed someone's car this weekend and got into an accident (she has no car of her own and is thus uninsured). insurance information was exchanged and everything seems like it went smoothly with that regard.
she was at fault (no question about it)
no damage to other vehicle, but she did damage the car she borrowed (got hit in the rear right wheel base)
she called the insurance company of the vehicle owner's car and filed a claim.
here are my questions:
1) will there be an increase to the premium of the owner's policy? (owner has insurance w/ usaa)
2) will usaa cover the costs of repair (policy of owner is very comprehensive w/ $250 deductible)
3) any suggestions on picking a good body shop in the annapolis/dc/baltimore area?
4) any suggestions on what she can do to apologize to the driver? (if usaa doesn't cover the cost or will increase the premium of the owner, she plans on paying for the expenses out of pocket)
Any other info is appreciated.
