auto accident question

so my friend borrowed someone's car this weekend and got into an accident (she has no car of her own and is thus uninsured). insurance information was exchanged and everything seems like it went smoothly with that regard.

she was at fault (no question about it)
no damage to other vehicle, but she did damage the car she borrowed (got hit in the rear right wheel base)

she called the insurance company of the vehicle owner's car and filed a claim.

here are my questions:
1) will there be an increase to the premium of the owner's policy? (owner has insurance w/ usaa)
2) will usaa cover the costs of repair (policy of owner is very comprehensive w/ $250 deductible)
3) any suggestions on picking a good body shop in the annapolis/dc/baltimore area?
4) any suggestions on what she can do to apologize to the driver? (if usaa doesn't cover the cost or will increase the premium of the owner, she plans on paying for the expenses out of pocket)

Any other info is appreciated.

friend's insurance ++

250$ will cover cost of repairs to friends car

oral sex will be the only way to make it up (assuming the guy was dumb enough to lend his car to a chick)

unless M/M pics will be required

Your friend was thinking with the smaller of his two heads, unfortunately 🙁 Never think for a moment that women can drive at all. The logical extension of that, obviously, is never, ever to loan one your car.

So what about the increase in premium...will that happen if the owner of the vehicle was NOT driving the car?

I have no idea..your best bet would probably be to ask the insurance company.

How much will it cost to cover the damage? She might be better off paying for it out of pocket..

i don't know...from the pictures it seems like anywhere from 1000-2800

rear axle looks like it might be bent and need replacement

Keep us updated on this. I would like to know if the insurance company covers this accident.

I can tell you that every insurance policy I have ever had required me to sign a form that basically said I had informed them of the people who would be driving the vehicle and that they would be the only ones covered.

I really don't think an insurance company would cover every Tom, Dick, and Harry that you wanted to loan your car to. What if the person you loan the car to has had 7 at-fault accidents, 3 speeding tickets, and a dui on his (or her) record but the rates you are paying are for your perfect driving record. Doesn't make sense to me.

the owner of the vehicle will see some hike in premuim. If that car is insured under a person's plan, and she got into an accident with it, it tells the insurance company that the car is in more risk of being in an other accident. Also, you say "if usaa doesn't cover the cost or will increase the premium of the owner, she plans on paying for the expenses out of pocket", but if this was brought to the attention of the insurance company, their will be a hike in premium regardless of whether they cover the cost or not. That is, unless, by soem act of God, the insurance company states that the accident is not your friends fault.

my insurance says don't loan out cars. i don't think my cars are covered if i let a non-listed driver drive them, so i don't let other people drive my cars.
