Same here, minus the barbie part. Kissing was the major taboo when I was in 5th grade (~1989 or so).
Once or twice, in 6th and 7th grade, our teacher would be out and they would forget to assign a substitute. In those situations, we closed the doors, turned off the lights and covered the windows with loose leaf paper to keep anyone from seeing that we were unsupervised. We didn't think 1 step further...

What's fuxored here is you can attend high school until 21 years old (maybe older now)...there is some talk that many purposely fail to seduce the young into sex, buying drugs and working as junior theves and drug flippers.
Combined with our laws in Florida any 16 year old is fair game to a guy/girl as old as 24. The parents cannot legally do anything about it.
A 15 year old is possibly fair game providing she / he testifies that they were a willing partipant and especially if they have a sexual past.
It's messed up, however; it's the parents and largely society at fault or a lot of this. An adult knows better, a kid just mimics/emulates in attempts to fit in.
My parent's were far from saints, but growing up I knew they understood my problems and at the same time thought they were a bit lame at times until my later teenage years. Once I became closer to an adult I learned how fun they were and they opened up more to me about adult things.
I think it's natural for 15/16 year olds to experiment with sex...possibly as young as 13 for some lighter things. I think it's unnatural and dangerous for parents to lock down all activity until someone is ready to leave home at 18. I knew alot of 18 / 19 year old chicks totally taken advantage of, knocked up, etc just because they had no experience in what was normal on an 'adult date' and what wasn't.
Things you think that no one would fall for are possible when you have no frame of reference and are trying to fit in.
Those 11 year old girls are going to be labeled their whole life unless they can move and start over somewhere. They may 'grow into' that label and want that lifestyle, but that would be quite uncommon for most.

Let's face it, these aren't innocent kids who randomly had a label thrown on them, these are trashy kids who instantly started having sex in front of the rest of the class as soon as the teacher left. They earned that label.
Trashy kids grow into trashy adults. It's not the label, it's them.
