You're living in a dreamworld if you think it ever existed.
That's ridiculous that the students are being charged with a felony. But really- I completely understand the need to do something here, and I'm not sure you could charge any teachers. What these kids really need is some hardcore therapy and maybe some decent parenting. :(

Minus whale give them (aprons and spatulas | gas nozzles | paper or plastic) now and get them pointed towards a life's goal they can accomplish.

Minus whale?

Minus whale?

How's that (apron and spatula | gas nozzle | paper or plastic) working out for ya?

childhood innocence did exist, at least in the civilized world, long ago.

Personally I think the parents should be charged. However; it's all about I am not responsible for my kid's actions/you better not tread on my kid's actions.

At school there should never be a time pre-college that there is not a teacher/adult in the room.

Most people don't realize that you can now have 21 year olds in a high school classroom.

those are some old 5th graders.... 5th graders are typically 10 or 11...

:confused:

When did you start the first?

6-7 is 1st grade not counting early enrollment....

1st = 6/7
2nd = 7/8
3rd = 8/9
4th = 9/10
5th = 10/11

don't see where confusion happened.

In my playing doctor years (i have a 1971 born on date)....I didn't know what my difference from a girl's difference meant (penis vs vagina and how intercourse happened). There was no cable TV and there was a lot less magazines available in a quickie mart, I do remember looking under my bedroom door and seeing Tin Drum playing on my parent's TV.

In my teenage years we would find playboys and penthouses sometimes. Still even then not till much later that we tried it. Usually in middle school you made out a lot...touched a bit...some people supposedly did it, and very few got pregnant. There were a few 'easy girls' that you could hang out with and see them naked and mess around.

Anyway back in my elementary years, I used to get in trouble for taking my air rifle, model rockets, fire crackers, etc out. I wasn't really looking to sneak them out, but I found her dad's BB jar and thought she had a great hiding place. I was thinking I could ask my dad if I could just take the rifle out, no BB's.

Long story short...after putting a jar of BB's inside her for protection from adults, she had to pee. Her teenage/20 something aunt found out when she was splashing around trying to get them out of the toilet. Her aunt began screaming in the house. Next thing I knew I was being dragged by my ear with my 'girlfriend' running behind me crying. Only thing that saved me I think was my dog was at the same backdoor she was bringing me too. He had his eye hanging out since he just got hit by a car...he somehow got out that night.

He lived minus one eye and a leg for many years.

My dog: Buffy, was a major part of my life. My first word was 'Buff'...my parents I think were upset, but they were great parents. I think it set the stage for me majoring in Zoology and always helping hurt animals.

Her family moved out 2 years later and I was not allowed to see her after that event. We rarely had a chance to see each other after that, but we still managed it.

I think that event set my next years as I was totally scared of sex until 17. I would just mess around/make out alot and had chicks p!ssed off I wouldn't do more. Looking back now I don't know what I was thinking.
