Awesome, been looking for a deal on this card for over a month now. The deal appears to be good in-store as well as online, at least in my area. Ill be dropping by Bestbuy on the way home some time in the next couple days to pick one up. Thanks for the heads-up Todd33!
 
This is an awesome sound card.....unfortunately I bought one a couple of weeks ago with only a $15 mail in. Pick one up guys this is a great deal!
 
The Audigy2's are nice cards - I got mine for $50 out the door at BestBuy on clearance about a year ago, and I've been happy with it. While I like the card, I'm not sure I'd buy one again as Creative have turned out to be right bastards since then. I was already unhappy with them after the Aureal fiasco, but blackmailing iD right before the release of Doom 3 was a bit much for me.

Not crapping on the deal - it's a great price. Just putting the info out for people that care about this kind of thing and like to vote with their wallets.
 
So is the exact same model card that comes in the "Audigy 2 ZS Gamer" edition, just without the extra games? I am concidering it...

I notice they kept 2 games from the Gamer Edition bundled with this card though... of course both of them had to be the only ones I didn't care for... :| heh
 
Another benefit over SB Live would be better sound quality, and a little bit lower cpu usage. EAX2, 3, etc. Support all the latest 6.1 or 7.1 channel speaker inputs.
 
Nice deal, but I'm a little worried about MIR ever since Bestbuy has made it known so publically that they don't welcome dealfinders.
 
hmmm. I saw this on their store shelf a few days ago (Sat) and it was $127.99.

I have one I bought a year ago so I won't be needing one anyway.

FYI there is a 10% off coupon that you can apply in store as well. I didn't have one so I just asked the CSR at the Customer service desk if she had one and she gave it to me. YMMV on that kind of service but this is a great deal without the coupon. Since I'm in CA all it really did was offset the sales tax but $78 out the door is a good deal and $48 would be a steal. Hopefully no MIR troubles this time.
 
Does anybody know if this has a header for front-of-case headphone jack? Or how you'd go about using the headphone jack on the front of a case with this card?
 
Sweet, my mom gave me a $50 gift card from when they had a promotion on her cell phone she got at BB, maybe i'll use it on this.
 
Just a reminder that this is a very good card for games, but if you use your PC audio primarily for other things (such as music, video, etc.) this sound card (and all Soundblaster/Audigy sound cards) are just AWFUL.

For high quality music (or other 2-channel sound), I suggest taking a look at the E-Mu 0404...

and scrith, even if you're an extreme audiophile "awful" is a bit harsh! They aren't one of the best, but they aren't awful!
