so I dunno what you are bitching about? Surely had you just called them, they would've offered you an alternative.
From what I gather, his position is that he believes he has the right to get any computer he wants with the options he wants from any vendor or outlet he wants, so long as said computer and options do actually exist. It doesn't matter if some vendors don't want to be in the business of offering those options, nor if there are a half-dozen other vendors offering the options he wants at competitive prices.

IOW, he has the mentality of an average three year-old. I want it when I want it, how I want it, where I want it, because I have a right to it, and if I don't get it, I'm going to throw a tantrum.

In the adult world (well, actually, you are forced to deal with this world no later than age eight), you don't get what you want if that isn't offered. You have to go some where that it is offered. e.g. I can't get Steak and Lobster from Burger King, even though Burger King says I can have it "my way".

But I like Burger King! I always go to Burger King! I demand that Burger King offer Steak and Lobster to me!

What a freaking baby.

LOL. So right!

DarkThinker: I salute you! I think everyone replying to this post is an employee of microsoft (or lenovo). You are right. It doesn't matter about the $, It doesn't matter about the other options; I don't care if you're returning lemonade to a kid's lemonade stand - if there's a legal document entitling you to do it, and you want to do it, then it has to happen. End of Story.

After reading your first post, I was looking forward to an event-by-event posting of your battle with Lenovo and M$, but I see we got distracted by too many people willing to give up their rights and freedoms. I am just curious, what ever happened with Lenovo?

Someone tell this idiot DarkThinker to quit making new accounts.

yeah right. so basically you just registered and your first post just happened to be in a LONG dead topic.

yeah. sure. we believe you.

That is correct.

Well what actually happened is this is my first time on this forum and the reply box is listed before the next/previous page buttons. When I read the first page and got to the reply section, I just started typing, assuming I was posting after the post above my reply box. After reading my post on the 4th page, I did realize that there were more pages that I hadn't yet read. After reading them, I regretted posting but it was too late.

Now I'm just trying to defend my name. I don't want "codywohlers" to be seen as a fraudulent account, as I am keeping http://wc.ca/cody as an authority of my identity. (I added AnandTech this morning!)

I agree: this is a long and dead topic. I look forward to discussing other things with you guys on other posts. Cheers!

You obviously have never seen a first post at AT before. A large portion of them seem to pop up in long-dead threads.

Welcome to Anandtech, Cody. We actually have an entire *nix section, here. Now, can we please let this tired old thread die?
