I say lower the difficulty settings on the harder levels and make it more of a time challenge. It's a bit more fun when we don't have to guess on most questions.

Haha yeah I started the quiz at 3:59 AM... The site, as I found out, goes through routine maintenance at 4:00 AM until 4:20 AM CST. When I first submitted the answers, it didn't go through due to the maintenance so unfortunately it counted all that time before the site was back up.

Moral of the story:
Do not take the test from 4-4:20 AM CST.

i agree with this. its much more fun. not only do I have to guess 90% of the time on those harder questions, i have to rread the question like 3 times before i even get a clue as to wtf they are talking about.

I didn't cheat...not really...but I had a slight advantage in that I saw the questions one time through. That advantage got murdered when the counter kept right on counting from the initial start time that I had...all the way through the 20 minute server maintenance time that interrupted my completion...

I was actually all proud that I knew 9 out of 10 questions today with no problems or hesitation...only to get my time skewed, lol

I had a bit of time to glance at the available categories a bit more. I tried to change the categories to those that are more appealing to the average demographic at ATOT. Given that today, only a couple people got 10's and there were a lot of 8's and 9's, it seems that it's about the most appropriate level of difficulty. (General knowledge 5: difficult)

I've updated the line-up as follows:
Sunday: Movies (Difficult)
Mon: Geography (Difficult)
Tues: General Knowledge (Difficult)
Wed: General Knowledge (Difficult)
Thurs: Science & Technology (Difficult)
Fri: Science & Technology (Difficult)
Sat: Music (Difficult)

The overall standings automatically reset at the beginning of each month, so January should be the first full month of competition.

Also, we can add in custom categories that are far more specific. i.e. One day could be questions concerning just one particular television series. If you like the idea of more specific categories, let me know.

DrPizza: I do not like the idea of custom categories. Not everyone watches the same thing or listens to the same thing. I do like the idea of specific categories though...such as you've set it up now. Maybe break up S&T with one of the General Knowledge cats? So we don't have 2 and then 2. Know what i mean? I dunno...throwin' it out there.

10/10 in 24 seconds...that's more like it. I think I got lucky...any I didn't immediately recognize the answer on, I just took a guess. There were at least 2 I wasn't sure of but I was aiming for speed to spite my results from yesterday, lol

The difficulty on this thing is all over the charts. You have days where every question is easy, and days where every question is obscure. I think their algorithm for determining which questions are hard and which are easy sucks. But it's still a lot of fun. :thumbsup: for DrPizza.
