ATOT....tell me what TV tuner to get

I am done with ATI...period...I want a card with a tv tuner...ram isnt that important because I dont do that much gaming....64 megs would do...any recomendations???

yeah...I know this should go in video, but any thread I post there goes unnoticed, so I call on my fellow ATOT'ers for help!!!

no way...spent three hours on the phone with their tech support trying to get my radeon 7000 and tv wonder working....I uninstalled half the software on my computer because they thought it was a software conflict...but that wasnt it...so I am ebaying this junk and moving on

Well, I don't believe there are any others with a built in TV tuner and the TV Wonder sucks ass. Soooooo...my suggestion is to get a Radeon 9500 Pro (I'm very happy with mine) and an Asus TV Tuner (Also very happy with) and live happily ever after.

it is impossible to recommend an nvidia card on these forums i swear!!! it is againt the law.

i would buy a leadtek tv tuner from newegg for like 30 and then pick up a ti-4200 for around 110 from newegg. that combo will destroy that 7000 anyway.

ok...so the Asus looks pretty good to me...I can just keep my ATI video card...any other suggestions for the tv tuner?
 
I just bought a off brand from someone on the FS thread and it's great I love it... plus I also just bought a WinTV PVR-350 it looks sweet and I'm ready to install it and set it up for my mythTV box as soon as I get a HSF

On Cusa's anniversary, they had IOmagic PVR's (tuner + TiVo capabilities) for $5 after MIR. It's a nice card since I can tune, but I can also record, schedule, pause tv, etc etc. The price can't be beat 😀
 
Good job on the asus Leadtek sucked for me had to return and buy the Asus all is great now

Pinnacle PCTV PCI - comes in different flavors, with optional FM tuner (who needs it though). This tuner has got very good software support and frequent software updates and overall great product support, and it's amazing how all the functions and features work without any glitches in XP, a rare thing for a TV tuner I think.
 
I've had my Asus for about 10 months now and it's easily one of the best TV cards I've ever owned. It records wonderfully, the quality is awesome and the software and drives are solid.

From what I've read on this forum, Pinnacle has THE WORST support for their cards. I've never had any glitches in XP with the Asus and the drivers are WHQL.
