I think they're fine, they have their beds and the room stays a bit warmer with door closed. Although this is probably the coldest I'd want to let it get. It would have kicked on at 10C and brought it up to 13C before it stops again.

They're not even going on the heat registers now that the heat is on so they don't seem to be bothered at all by the cold. They were both found on the street so they've probably seen worse.

Warming up...

Living Room: 13.6°C (+)
Hallway: 14.7°C (+)
Server Room: 18.6°C (+)
HVAC Return: 19.1°C (+)
HVAC Supply: 42.1°C (+)
Outside: -14.9°C (+)
Delta Temp: 23°C

Well yeah... they can survive. It's how miserable it is to be freezing your cat ass off.

Damn, Vanguard really takes their sweet ass time sending out redemption check. It's definitely been over a week. Plus they want me to do another bank authorization. No one else seems to have this problem. Oh well, guess that's the first set of funds I'll have to whittle down once the market peaks next year.

Was nice to sleep in this morning. Off for a bit then on nights.

Was hoping I wouldn't have to leave the house today but my sister needs me to change a broken outlet. Going to have to go dig out again. We got a lot more snow.

All the snow melted here.

If she actually owned a screwdriver set I probably could lol. I'm basically the family handyman. My dad is not good at that stuff and neither is my sister's husband lol. Got it done a while ago, was just a GFCI swap so fairly easy.

Actually that's an idea for a business, zoom electrician. Just talk people over how to do something over zoom. "Ok I'm going to get you to touch the black and white wire" *bunch of swearing* "ok, go try the other breaker".

So what did he/she have to say?
Probably a he as the females almost always belong to a family group and young males have to go seek their fortune. I think it said, "Crap, I've been sighted!" followed by <shrug> "I can kick human ass anyway."

Once again, the black feral's mat got wet. I had some styrofoam from my new Onkyo receiver which has some holes large enough for the heat to get thru. Sadly, they also make it a bit uncomfortable to lie one. Shrug.

The thing that sucks though is that I have a weather proof heated hutch for him but it assembles with pre-attached velcro strips. So you have to align things perfectly w/o being able to see where the velcro is. It's hard to explain.

I WILL eventually put it together, but being stoned a good chunk of the time interferes with my already limited fine motor control. I might have to stay off the "sauce" for a few days to get that done.

In the meantime, despite the rain, it's been almost balmy here. This is the first night it's gotten below freezing. But if he really gets stressed, he can join the other kitties in the shed.

He's sorta the king of this particular cat "herd," though so he probably won't. He has an image to maintain.

Took down the Christmas tree, always kinda sad but also nice to open up the space and have it done and over with.

Thinking of keeping the cat tree in their room though, it was originally in the living room. I might just buy a second smaller one to put there.

Awww, kitties love to be up higher than the surrounding environment. If you really want to make them quiet, attentive kitties, try to put the cat tree near a window where they can see birds and critters.
