<= Laughs at the Celsius people who think their scale don't stink.

Fahrenheit
Anything below 0°F = F', it's cold!
Anything above 100°F = F' it's hot!

Simple, easy to use, intuitive.

Celsius
0°C = Water freezes, but only if it's pure and only at sea level. Do you live at sea level? Does anyone with a brain?
100°C = Water boils, but only if it's pure and only at sea level. Pretty pointless to set 100° to a temperature where you're already dead.

Freedom degrees kinda are more intuitive than communist degrees when talking about weather, but it's probably about the only part of imperial that is intuitive. :p

I have no clue what temp is what though unless I do the conversion. I hate when I buy something and it's in freedom degrees and can't be changed, we don't do freedom here in Canada. :p My portable AC unit is like that, I had to make a conversion scale and glue it on it so I know what I'm actually setting it to.

Myanmar abandoned Farenheit. Fucking Myanmar...

F is also set to water freezing and water boiling, except it is divided into 180 parts

If we went with Kelvin, I bet doing gas law calculations in our heads would be as routine as making change.

I turned off my AC when I stepped out of the bathroom this morning. I forgot to turn it back on before I left. Like I said earlier, it's 100° today. FML

Where's the pics of the mounting of the inverter and charge controller? I feel so incomplete.

Not fully wired yet but here is a look inside, got the inverter part wired now, and it powers on and all the plugs work.

Tomorrow I'll do the solar charge controller wiring. I also ended up ordering a cut off switch from an online solar store, I bought what I thought was one at Canadian Tire, but it's just a quick disconnect cable and it's designed really weirdly at that, so going to return it. That was a waste of a lunch hour! I think you get like 30 days or something to return stuff so I'm just going to wait until I'm off, I don't want to waste another lunch break on that.

This is pretty much ready to go once I finish wiring it so doing a bit every night I should get it done. I might go to my property Friday after my shift and setup the tent and get settled in and start working on a basic shelter or at least start gathering lumber for one. I won't be there long enough to justify bringing tons of tools so will just bring bare minimum stuff. I start nights on Monday so only get 2 days really but at least it gives me 2 full days, if I leave town on Friday.

I need to consider buying an old beater car to leave in the driveway so it looks like someone's home if I plan to leave the house regularly like that though.

I blame all my science classes (Physics) and engineering jobs. Well, and Jimmy Carter. It would be nice to be on one uniform system across the world - I blame Ronnie Raygun for the fact that the US is not part of that 'club'. Actually, NIST bases all their work on the metric system - and then converts the standards over to freedumb units for manufacturers, etc.
