Solar power box coming along, 2 coats of paint so far. The paint is drying fast enough that I was able to more or less start 2nd coat right away. Will let it dry real good now then flip it over and do underneath, and while I'm there I will touch up what needs touching up, or maybe just give a 3rd coat altogether on the sides.
Next project after this is a basic outhouse style toilet seat, just a box with a toilet seat on it basically. Will eventually build it into an actual outhouse but just need a place to go meanwhile. I will probably just poop in buckets and compost it or something in the meantime.
Got water somewhat figured out too, got 2 IBC totes already on the property and recently got 2 55 gal drums that will be used to transport water. Also have 2 smaller dispensers for potable water. These big tanks will be for general purpose water like hand washing and eventually shower once I set that up. Trickiest part will be to ensure the pipes can't freeze. I'm thinking wrapping them with nichrome wire then insulating the crap out of everything and having temp sensors. Run small current in the nichrome wire to keep it at like 30C or so. The nights can randomly go below freezing even in middle of summer sometimes. I don't want to have to purge the system every time I leave.
My time is running out though, already done my 2nd week of vacation and only been to the property once, and only have one left. Realistically I think I will only really get around to clearing an area this year. But at least a lot of the prep work that will allow me to work on everything is getting along. The solar station will be used to power all my tools including air compressor so that will be a big asset. My other solar station was not big enough, it was only 350w and physically too small to house the 2,000w inverter.
