Hmm, live in New England all my life and I can’t recall that ever happening. Probably just quickly wipe the snot of my the sleeve of my jacket. Mom must have loved that 😀

If you are near the sea, the salty air keeps your nose clear.

If it's cold enough I found just the moisture from breathing will start to form ice around my beard.

My hair will get all solid too if I go out after washing it and it's still damp.

Friday morning, I went to leave for work. Annnnnnd my car had the same problem as on Monday. Freakin' great. /s

I tried clearing the codes, but the performance did not return to normal. This has been a long standing problem. So, I decided I needed to take the vehicle to a mechanic that has troubleshooting talents beyond me. Sucks. I've been buying more tools and here is something I am unable to deal with. I'm assuming electrical or fuel delivery. Whatever is the problem, it's been killing my ignition coils.

Picked up a rental today. Meet the Jeep Compass. A little bit shady rental, just outside of DFW airport. I hope I get my deposit back with little troubles. I was hoping for the new Camry that I saw that had just pulled in, but no...

I just need a rental for the week while I get my car looked at. I'm hoping to get another year out of it, but do not want to spend a fortune repairing the unrepairable, if that makes any sense. I'm going to drop it off Monday night, as the mechanic says he could squeeze it in on Tuesday. Here's hoping it's something that's reasonable.

One of last year's condor fledglings showed up on a webcam at Big Sur for the first time since fledging and has now joined a flock. The bird is not tagged yet so impossible to track through telemetry. This is the first confirmation that the chick survived fledging. Joining a flock drastically increases its odds of surviving to adulthood.

Father-in-law came down sick (not Covid). he's end stage Alzheimer’s as it is. It’s progressed rapidly and looking like it’ll be the end for him. 91 years is a good run. Still, it’s a really tough time as expected 🙁

FIL passed away. End pain and suffering for him. Beginning for us for a while. Sigh, no one gets out alive.
