Power went out while I was working from home. Heard the fuse blow then power went out. Server room UPS kept the network gear and servers up and I ran extension cord from shed so I can run my work PC and monitors off solar. Worked out nicely. Power outage was only for about an hour. I do want to look into setting up some plugs around the house so I can do such a transfer a bit more gracefully than running an extension cord through a window though lol.

Don't mention Christmas yet.

It's only the end of August.

Too soon....

Yeah, it's a little premature for Christmas talk. Sounds like someone who works for retail. I'm pretty sure that Sam's Club is about to setup their Christmas trees. There should legally only be one month for Christmas. After the 25th, everything must come down.

Nef. Off for almost 2 weeks. :D

Have vacation, then I was scheduled to work 3 days, so I took 3 floaters as there was enough staff coverage.

My goal is to finish my shed solar setup, including retilting the panels. Then continue on the garage. Been lazy all summer it's time to get some projects done. I also want to rebuild my portable solar setup as I might actually go do some work on the new property as well. I want to make a perimeter trail and start putting some "private property" signs. The portable solar setup kinda got salvaged for the shed. But I may redesign it a bit anyway as I want to make the inverter built in. The 350w one might not be big enough to run the water pump so I may end up getting a bigger one too. In that case I might just build a whole new portable solar setup as that one I built too small. I can probably sell the old setup and make enough money to buy a sheet of plywood to build the new one with lol. It's basically just a box that houses the charge controller, inverter, and micro controller that cuts off power if voltage gets too low.
