With the ladder out of the way, which was really the main goal today, now I can start on setting up the solar system properly. I was going to wall mount everything but last minute decided maybe I should just make a cabinet under the shelves as it will be better tucked away instead of taking up wall space. Might start on this evening or at least come up with a quick design.
whoa, please don't futz with our solar system. just don't.

It's already operating, this is just to do it properly instead of just sitting on the ground temporarily. Upgrading the inverter and wiring at same time, and adding cut offs, fuses and an actual electrical panel. A little overkill for a shed I guess lol.

New inverter. Going to have to put it through it's paces before warranty so I can see if it's actually any good. I usually don't trust Amazon for stuff like that but it has good reviews so will chance it. (outside of Amazon too).

Current janky setup. All that stuff will be mounted to the wall. Decided to stick to that plan.

Wall where everything will go. No idea why that pic is sideways. I took it vertical.

Board everything will mount to

Battery box

Solar panels. Old pic. I plan to redo those though, I want to tilt them at a steeper angle so snow has a chance of falling off on it's own.

End goal is to make more use of this power inside the house too. The whole setup basically sits idle all the time, may as well use it.

What a great day. Slept in. Took care of the cats. Gave my car an oil change. Watched some of the Nebraska game. Went to my favorite taqueria. Tried a torta with steak, jalapeno peppers, avocados and tomatoes. Was so big I had to finish the rest later. Been drinking Yuengling lager. Picked up a 12-pack bottles. Hadn't been available for years here in Texas.

Pretty nice day.

Nef. Gave another coat of paint on the new battery box and the board to mount solar equipment, and also installed vapour barrier where the board will go. (I may want to insulate shed in future, and won't be able to get behind there after I'm done).

Then visited family we had pizza. We were suppose to have a camp fire but it was pouring rain and suppose to do so for pretty much the next few weeks. Typical September.
