Nice thing about working from home is having windows. But since it's winter it's pitch black out so not sure what difference it makes lol.

I think it's sad how they are basically trying to cancel holidays like Christmas and shut down small business, but then all the big stores and restaurant chains are fully open. Shows what the priorities really are. Shareholders.

She was pissed at me for bringing her to the vet. That's with her teeth.

Funny enough 99% of the time she's super cuddly with me and purring, like she is doing right now. But if she decides to be pissed, watch out! She can make demonic noises too, like something from the exorcist.

I was planning a hike to an old mine site where interesting minerals had been found. Directions were vague so I researched further. Getting to the mine involves at least a four mile hike with an elevation drop of ~1300 feet (it's a down and up, not my favorite). So I finally track down accurate info on the mine. Yeah, about that hike… "the mine was accessed via an aerial tramway descending the 360 foot cliff face." Okay, fine, minerals are minerals, I'll figure it out when I get there. Then, "the filled fracture averages about 3mm in thickness." The good minerals are microscopic. That would have blown chucks to have made the journey only to find pretty dust.

About to go work out in what is probably at least the first time in a year. I just kind of neglected it and next thing you know it's been that long. Time to get back in the routine!

Took a shower and washed my hair since it was due. Now I need to wait forever until it dries lol.

Arlington had an F2 tornado on the 24th. It made national news. First my phone had an alarm that told me to take cover immediately. As I was considering ignoring this, the sirens started going off. I was like crap. I had been home for less than two hours when I grabbed a flashlight, my phone and my male cat and hunkered down in my master bathroom. Just me watching the radar on my phone. Anyways, my place is fine. It was really close storm-wise.

This past Thanksgiving (Thursday for our Canadian friends to the North) I took off for a road trip. For whatever reason I decide to take a different route to the gas station. I'm approaching a local burger joint when I recognize that this was one of the places where the tornado hit. So, I park my car and get my camera out and started taking pics. I've also used the auto glass place last year to put in a new windshield for my Camry. Notice that the restaurant did not have a lot of damage to the structure. What you see there is the fake facade that they put up during a renovation. You can see the original structure underneath. I don't believe anyone was injured in this storm. The first responders were able get everyone out safely.

I was my hair everyday. Keeping it short means I just towel dry it, comb it in place and that's it. If I didn't wash it every day, I'd be scratching my head constantly. That and it would look awful. I am not a fan of bed head or hat head.

Haha oddly enough with long hair I wash less often like maybe twice a week, some long haired people even swear by never washing and only conditioning, apparently your scalp adapts and produces less oil. It's funny I was always a 12 in 1 shampoo guy and now I got all these different products for my hair lol. I still don't understand how woman have like 20x as many products as I do though.

I need to learn how to braid, it's long enough to make some sick viking braids now. I can also do pipi longstocking pigtails lol.

I used to be into high maintenance hair when I was in my 20's. When I hit 30 I just wanted low maintenance.
