Well, Amazon delivered my new keyboard while I was away at work. It was just propped up against my over hang in the entryway. Let me introduce to you... the Das Keyboard 6 Professional. It's my first time with Cherry MX Brown switches. I'm used to the Blue ones, with their clickity noise and tactile feel. The new kb has Brown switches, which has tactile feel only. I don't mind the Blue switches. Just trying something different. This is my first keyboard that has backlit keys. It also has a slightly smaller base. I'm guessing that the manufacture was shooting for trendy with the smaller enclosure. If it's "Professional" you wouldn't think there'd be a need to minimize the enclosure on a full-sized keyboard.
The key caps are also a matte black. Not shiny at all. The keys and the enclosure match in finish. Very nice. It even has a two-port USB-C hub behind the media controller. My first thought, this is a nice keyboard. Solid. Well built. Nice finish. Great key switches. This pic shows the light as glowing. It does not look that way with the eyes. I did figure out how to change the brightness level. It's got one button on the media controller that rotates through progressive brightness and finally to "off."
Understated. Very functional. High quality.
What is everyone else rocking?
