Our hospital foundation has a 50/50 draw, it hit over 100k today. Man that would be nice. They are having a draw every month, I forget for how long, but I'm buying each time. It's a good cause and way better odds than the lotto.

Would be awesome to win really. I'd still buy in the 60k range but then use the rest of the money to build something right away instead of wait. The last draw went to 200k and I could see this one go that high too (draw is on the 30th). So it would be more than enough to do well, septic, water tower, actual cabin and then some. I'd probably even hire some parts to make it go faster.

here is a fun story. I was at a Chinese supermarket waiting to check out. I had only a few items so a person let me through first. The store manager ran over to me to say I was the 100,000th customer or something like that and gave me a prize pack. I asked the guy if he wanted the prize but he turned it down. It was like a couple hundred bux worth of stuff too.

My wife received an at-home stool sample kit from a medical lab. No doctor had ordered the kit for her, it just appeared out of the blue. WTH kind of phishing expedition is this?
I received one today. No one would spam random people with stool sample requests, must be legit.

Sounds like some weird information harvesting scheme. They probably get your DNA or something if you were to actually send it in.

I would just put my cat's poop in it.

Inflate tires.... Sick of those tiny emergency compressors that come with tiny levers for clamping on the stem. And I am sure I'll think of something else.

Oddly enough I did the opposite, bought a dedicated inflator when I have a compressor. The nice thing with the inflator is you don't have to manually hold the nozzle to the tire like with the compressor, and it stops when it gets to the PSI you set it to. With compressor it hurts the fingers to keep it pushed on, especially in the cold and you have to keep manually checking pressure.

The one I got uses the Ryobi 18v batteries which I have a lot of. Though it would be nice if it also had a 12v cord and could potentially even act as a charger, but guess that's asking for too much. Would require a boost converter etc.

... Get a proper inflator gun for the compressor.
