They are still on whale oil lamp so a Tesla is a rare sighting.

Most people here are worried about how well EVs can do in the cold so they are never really seen here. The dealerships don't even have any on their lots. Apparently they do fine though as there is someone in Moonbeam if I recall that has one and made a video of cold starting it and driving off when it's like -35. In a way I think it would be better, assuming the cabin heat is resistive heat. It would come on right away and warm up faster than a gas car.

6am and it's still dark out. Winter is coming.

Soon it won't be light out before 8am, and sunset will be before 5pm.

Oddly kinda looking forward to winter though... this summer has been brutal hot. When it's that hot out it may as well be -40 since it's miserable either way to try to do anything outside.

Same, it cooled off here too and it's a welcome change, too bad I'm at work though, I just hope it does not go back to hot when I'm off. I just need like a single +10C day where it does not rain and I can literally finish my deck. I don't have a lot left, it's just that in the heat everything is way slower and miserable.

I was sick of winter so was happy when summer came, but I also did not exactly want to be dying of heat either lol. Seems the weather is always extreme at either end of the spectrum.

Woah it's crazy eerie out there. On the cameras it looked like it was snowing so I went out to look, but it's not even raining or anything so no idea why it looks like precipitation on the cameras, but instead there is this super thick fog. Never seen that and wish I had my good camera since camera phone was just focus hunting and I would not get a good pic. It looks like silent hill out there.

Getting new carpet in the morning. Staying up late moving stuff out of the living room and the dining room. PITA. Labeled all the wiring in the AV stand. Then took it all apart. Now, I'm bagging all my discs so I can move the DVD/CD stands. Wild. I'm basically discless at this point in my life. I had planned on finishing the server project years back, but as you know my wife was dying and I didn't have money to finish the project. Would love to copy all the discs to ISOs. I've got a lot of music videos that are boots. Nowadays, I don't burn to disc or make cases. I Plex and VLC everything. Back to bagging the discs...

Had a friend come over to help me out. He stayed until noon. The carpet guys didn't show up until 2pm. Then they left without doing the bathrooms. WTF

I finally got most of my belongings back in place. Did some cleaning of the baseboards before I put the stuff back. I still have a few things in storage and in my bedroom closet. Other than that, I still need to put the DVD and CDs back in their racks. I also need to hook up the TV to the receiver and all the other peripherals. I cleaned the outside of all the audio/visual equipment. I need to clean out the inside of the HTPC now that I've got it out of the stand.Come to think of it, I also need to clean the plasma on the wall. Might was well while I've got everything disconnected. Fun. Sounds like a tomorrow project.
