That's where I am. I have a 1920x1200 60hz monitor. There is zero reason to get a faster card than my current 1070 without buying a new monitor. I want a new monitor but the monitor I want is hinky with Windows.

I bought the 1080 Ti when I upgraded to the 34" Dell. It is 3440 x 1440 @ 60Hz. I've actually got an unused GTX 970 that it replaced. Great card, but didn't have the built in x265 hardware decoder that the 950/960 had built in. My wife has a 7850K (AMD APU) and the onboard video is just fine for her, as she doesn't game. The HTPC has a GTX 950 (the one with the x265 hardware decoder) and that is fine for the 1080p panny plasma as I don't do any modern gaming on it. Just need quiet and low power. So, it sits in it's original box waiting to fulfill its purpose in life. :p

I have two 1070 TIs mining, I'm kinda curious to try actually using one of them for it's intended purpose, gaming. I'm assuming it's going to be better than the HD 7800 series I currently game with. :p

It does not fit in my gaming PC's case though so I'd have to mcguyver something.

How can it be called a gaming case if it can't fit a gaming card?

It's actually a rackmount case. :p 4U. Need 5U for these cards. Though I have a feeling even a lot of "gaming" cases will have trouble with these big cards. Definitely need a full size tower, and it has to be wide. Though some cases provide a slot to mount it vertically and you use a riser cable to plug it in.

I just checked the tracking number of my order to see if my package got delivered instead of going outside to check. Does it get any lazier than that?! :^D Apparently, I have a package, so I'm gonna go collect my shiny new rope :^)

Or you just get a case that can fit these gaming cards. Go big or go home! :D

I worked on my car from 9-6 today. I'm a little red now. Parked in the shade, but still got too much sun.

It was a success. Plenty of preperation really helped. I replaced the passenger front fender, front bumper cover. the seals to those parts, a crapload of grommets, clips and fasteners. I also remounted the passenger side skirt.

That's what I'd probably have to do. Either that or just modify the existing case. Need at least 5U for these big cards. Some people have said to fit them in 4U but no idea how they manage that without crushing the power connectors way out of spec. It would work for GPUs where power connector comes from the side but most of them is from the top.

Random pics from the other day. Most of them are on my camera at home but took these with my phone.

Those conduits go to the basement, they'll be for power, data, hot water for heat and other misc stuff. They do a 90 bend then go through basement wall so they'll be accessible from basement. Debating on if I should put more in the corner. I think these 4 will be good enough though.

I guess it shows I don't have that far to go to get there.

Actually it basically is hell down there:

Those are old pics though, cleaned up those spider webs years ago and it's all spray foamed now.

I drive a boring Camry. No stickers, wings or fart cans for me. Just attempting to repair my front end from multiple incidents. I forgot to mention that I replaced both headlight assemblies as well.

This is my first and last visit to the Alamo Drafthouse. Film hasn't started and already I hate it. There's two girls running around taking care of three hundred customers. And the majority of customers are shithead kids. I forgot that most parents nowadays don't believe in discipline.

I need to fix my kitchen faucet actually it feels really loose. Keep forgetting to buy the special tool when I go to HD. You can't fit a normal wrench up there, there's a special type you can buy for sinks.

I used a deep socket and extension bar to take off the old one. Look first before you get a sink wrench
