Maybe I missed it, but why do you need a dedicated DC line?

It just makes the LED lights flicker less visibly as it flips the negative side of the AC wave to positive. They also look brighter.

The lights work without it, but it just makes it better. Eventually I want to make a 120VDC power supply so it's straight DC and not pulsed. If I just add a capacitor to the existing setup then it ends up being 170VDC which may overdrive the LEDs.

You've got too much time on your hands. 😀

Got started on Fathead's jul gift. The roof's done, and I'll do the platform later. I'm just winging it, so I won't know if it'll work til it's finished. It definitely doesn't look like it did in my head. Quite a bit cruder, but I'd live in it. The bamboo doesn't split as well for me as the Asian guy on youtube. Keeps running off an edge. I guess it's something you have to do awhile before you get the feel of it.

Getting hot in the house. Last time I looked at the thermostat it was 60F. That's 4° higher than I set it at. Got a fire going, and that really warms things up. Haven't turned on central heat yet. I have to clean the filter, and won't start it til I do that.

Another lazy day, slept in way too much. Only an hour of day light left so not worth working on the shed as it's a pita setting up the flood lights. I'm not that much in a hurry to finish it anymore now that the rain has stopped for now and it got colder. I should really get that done tomorrow though just to get it out of the way. couple small sections of plywood, more screws, house wrap, and hurricane ties for the trusses and I can call it done.

Got a magical candle in my house. I left it burning last night figuring it wouldn't last much longer, and I woke up with it still burning. It's lasted at least 30 hours so far. Isn't there some bible story about how long the Jew's dollar store lamp oil lasted? I might have them beat. Just a bit longer...

I hope you have it in the middle of a water moat.
It's on a concrete mantle over a stone hearth. Unless it does something else miraculous like explode, it should be ok. I left it running cause it's scented(pumpkin pie). I figured even if I can't see the light, it'll still be doing something. When you get to a certain point, candles are hard to relight, and don't burn well, but I guess it had more time than I thought.
