Well dang the HDD in the desktop at my house failed. I wasn't there to hear or see the warning signs and my little brother ignored them. That's about 1TB of data that hasn't been backed up in months.

He probably would've kept using it too if I hadn't remoted in today looking for some of my old files.

I guess spammers know I run Linux now. Just got a virus that is in a .tar file.

Ordered from Ebay the other day, so like clock work, now I'm getting the fake UPS notifications and stuff. Happens all the time.

Yeah, Linux is not any safer than any other OS. Crazy that ebay sells your info. There should be an opt out setting for all of that.

Yeah not sure if it's Ebay selling my info, or what, but seems any time I order something from there I get lot of spam that is related to ordering something, like fake UPS notice etc. It's not just Ebay though, sometimes it's other sites too. But everyone is selling our info these days so who knows. That stuff should be illegal.
