Never figured a stupid door handle would be this complicated to install. The instructions that come with it are completely useless. The pictures don't even match at all.

Trying to find youtube videos but not finding much.
 
Pisses me off, I can't find my mastercraft bit set. It's the only set I have where the bits don't break so easily and that they're long enough. Impossible to find this in stores anymore. I probably lended it to someone and they never gave it back. Family is always borrowing my tools.
 
Yay so I looked at the old handle thinking I can maybe just try to fix it and I managed to fix it, so I just installed it back. Nothing was really broken, it was just a pin for a spring that worked itself loose so the thumb lever or whatever you would call it would get stuck sideways and not fully retract the latch, popped it back in place and now it works! Now hopefully HD will accept this return even if it's open. That was like a $100+ door handle too.

Still bummed out about my drill bit set though. No idea where that ended up. They don't make em like that anymore. Now it's all some kind of powder iron or ceramic BS. Breaks at pretty much anything that is slightly harder than pine. The "better" ones are very short so can't drill through even a 2x4.
 
Returned the new handle, well that is grief I can put behind me. LOL.

If the old one breaks again and I can't fix it more permanently, I'll just be sure to buy one of the same brand and style so hopefully everything will line up.

I don't really like ordering stuff like that from Amazon. Too much fake crap. Just because it says it's something does not mean it is.

I wonder how many people got eye damage from all the fake eclipse glasses that were going around lol. Just because it has the ISO on it means nothing. That's why I personally went with locally bought welding glass, at least I know it's going to be safe.

I do wonder if I'd have better luck buying from industrial places like Aklands vs regular big box stores. I just want a good set that will actually last.

Anyways, I use titanium bits. I think I've had them for 15 years now without a breakage. Bosch.
