Went to Target today for the first time in ages, and checked out the store. They have nice affordable stuff in the food section. I also enjoyed their coolers. They put in motion sensing lights so they turn on as you walk down the aisle. I felt like a god :^D

Some houses already started to turn on their Christmas lights. It does not feel like Christmas season though due to lack of snow, but I might join anyway and turn mine on too once I change all the burnt bulbs. Probably going to put the tree up in a few weeks.

I will have to look into LEDs again some time, I just hate that they are so dim and flicker at 60hz, but maybe if I bridge rectify them like I do with my tree lights they'll be better. They still flicker but at 120hz, so it makes them seem a bit brighter and the flicker is less noticeable. Could throw in a capacitor to eliminate the flicker altogether but then I'm going from 120v rms to 170vdc, some leds might not like that. Suppose it would be worth a shot though. :p

Also been looking into RGB led strips, I need to experiment with those some time. I'd install them as permanent lighting and change them color based on season.

Did a quick cleanup in my basement. I can see the floors again. I need to start on the electrical soon, so I can then start insulating. I tell myself every year I'll do it then I never end up actually doing it. Won't be a big job, just need to add a bunch of perimeter plugs. Probably do some data jacks too. Hard to add those after the fact in a basement.

Insanely warm here again. Freakin' 79F (26C). Drove around with the windows down. Shorts and t-shirt baby!
