Well now I'm impressed with this repair shop. I've been kinda moaning about the miscommunication in getting my windshield replaced. I ended up with a product that was different than I had, and felt like I hadn't been properly informed before agreeing to it. I paid cash because this cheap option cost similar to my deductible, and thus felt sorta trapped with my decision...I didn't want to pay to have it swapped again, and it sounded like the correct option was a lot more money. I didn't want to make them eat the additional cost either. Even though it was different, the install was fine and the windshield did work. Yet I felt like if I had known the difference I would have used insurance to pay for the more expensive option to get it done right.

I posted an honest review of the shop/work, and gave a 7/10 in two categories (again, the actual work done was fine). Not long after I get a call from the company. It seems there was miscommunication from both sides (I hadn't made certain things clear to them). They wanted to make sure I was fully satisfied and have gone through some hassle to try and get me a correct replacement at no additional cost to me. I'm scheduled to go in and get it changed next week.

Never once have I had a company chase me down to fix a problem. Let alone offer a fix that only needs a little time on my part, and no other compromise. Even if it somehow still doesn't come out quite right, I don't think I'll complain. We'll see next week how it goes. Barring any outright craziness I'm gonna have to switch my tune and sing some praises.
