if it was single track then they were idiots, on a multiple track area though that'd be pretty stupid to step out, I was on a train that killed someone that way, person stepped out behind a commuter train stopped at a local station in order to cross the tracks, there were 3 sets of tracks and our train was continuing on through the middle track at about 45mph. So person steps out our conductor obviously couldnt stop and bam.

No definitely single track. Idiots only eminent domain enough land for singke track and now they are wondering how they can expand to dual track. Morons.
