it was awesome

Something about 1000 people posting at the exact same second and the mods merging threads at the exact same second just brought shit to its knees. I had hit the "reply" button and then it hung...and hung...and hung....

Opened up a new tab...still hanging....FARK!

The Doc and someone else had to come clean that they were messing with shit and managed to break shit.

The Doc was the one doing the thread merging, along with someone else.

50gb partition with 7 million files... are you fucking with me? D: this shit is going to take like a week to backup.

or tar the whole pile first :whiste:

I wish.

if this wasn't DFSR data, I'd just be able to take a block-level backup and be done with it, but because of that I've got to suck up the write overhead slowness.

(I mean, I could take a block level backup of it anyways, but best practice would require stopping replication before doing that and the client doesn't want to have to stop the service every night)

copy the whole shabang to the san then back it up off the san.

I would just do live mirror on DSFR, as opposed to backup. Backup of DSFR is one of the least useful things. You are going to need an image of the whole domain at that particular point in time for that DSFR to be useful.

WoW was a good game to play when I was single and not looking for anything more than casual sex with a stranger in terms of my "romantic" life.

but it's hard to find much gaming time when you're dating a non-gamer... my video game time is mostly relegated to Mondays (when I'm off work and my boyfriend isn't) and the 1-2 nights I'm home alone during the week (and half that time, I'd just rather veg out on the couch with a book)

it's not like the days of my early 20's when I'd be raiding on one monitor while surfing manhunt on the other screen looking for a guy to come over later that night after the raid to help me unwind before bed.
