Yeah, it was a lot of money, I just happened to be in the small poor area of the county, the highschool just happened to be the least maintained and for some unknown reason they decided to forego renovations for now almost 15 years (it needed renovations in 2002 and it still hasn't started).

Rich county doesn't always mean a rich school at least when you go to school in the poorest section of the rich county

Though our curriculum and technology classes was pretty high end, C++, Java, HTML, A+ certification, and mandatory IT internships, as well as some hands on time at Booz Allen Hamilton R&D lab thing.

I used to run a game server and made a bit of money through microtransactions, if that counts. Never actually made a program to sell direct for money though.

I do have an urge to make a game though, the game server I used to run was for Ultima Online which is not my own game, so I was restricted, but if I coded my own game I'd have better control over everything from the client to the server. At this point it's just a pipe dream though, I got lot of other projects I want to do first, and I have to learn more C++.

Come to think of it, when I was a kid I wrote a bunch of little apps and packaged it together as something called "prank pack". It was all little prank apps, like fake format, error messages etc. I put it on CNET download.com, which used to be free. I never even considered the fact that April fools was around the corner. The app got like 60 thousand downloads overnight. Was hosted on Tripod so I got shut down for running my bandwidth limit. Man, if I would have been better setup with a real web host and adsense I would have made a killing.

The app actually made top 10 downloads on major sites like MSN.com, CNET etc... It was an awesome feeling.

That was a re-release though, that was not the official site. Man that site is old though, I totally forgot about it lol.

I should download and archive that site somewhere. I'm actually surprised it's still up.
