Well, I guess the big boss corruption is a big factor in Mexico, so perhaps I need to reconsider. But in some places with heavy manufacturing like Juarez, I think they're good. :thumbup:

Yeah corruption. Most unions here are for state employees. the ones for private company workers have their purpose, but they also have top be bribed, and have been known to scare a few companies away from investing and settling here.

Unions have political affiliations too.. in a sense they work for the political party they support.

One of the main reason why public sector companies are not able to compete with their private counterparts is due to this. They strike for every damn thing... they are basically shooting themselves in their foot.

Heh yeah. You have drug wars.. we have left wing militias.

The irony is the fact that all these so called human rights activists are left wing fundies.

They cry foul.. when the armed forces kill those militias.. and when the opposite happens.. we do not here a peep.

In a way these unions and left wing human rights activists are the same. They try their level best to stop a nation from progressing(For the sake of personal gain).
