my old boss got fired today.

I did a little jig.

he forced me out of my old department by being such a raging a-hole... he was one of those guys who was a perfectly fine worker, but not built for management.

after getting promoted, he immediately embarked on a mission to drive all the senior guys into quitting so that the entire department would be composed of guys who were his buddies or who he personally hired.

prior to his tenure, scheduling was based on seniority... his first initiative was no more seniority-based scheduling, and that everyone had to rotate schedules constantly (except him, of course).

I'm torn on my boss leaving to be honest. On one hand, he is a really nice guy, easy going, and very easy to work for so that is something to miss.

On the other hand, I think he was too easy to work with and got pushed around by other business units. I am definitely going to see if the director from my last company might be interested. He is a hardass but very sharp.

I had heard rumors that he was looking to retire but hoped he would've lasted another year or so in order for me to fully vest in my retirement. That way, I could leave if an asshole replaced him.

A friend of mine got married last week.

Finally pulled trigger on a Hauppauge PVR thing.
Then, to get a PSP3000...

I want to record old school systems like, Saturn, Dreamcast, PS 1 & 2, Gamecube & Xbox.
Then output from the PVR to an LCD/set of 2.1 speakers with VGA/DVI/HDMI/SVID rather than TV.
Posted threads on several forums seeking answers for advice on correct items I should be acquiring, but none of them have gotten any feedback at all.

Recording PSP will be simple enough for time being while I continue to search for the answers on recording older systems, I suppose.
