I'm not even sure what the spec of the cable is I used. I just grabbed some extra long Ethernet cable I had lying around. It's probably 5e but I don't know 100%.

I have 5e run. It's not 100% hidden but I can deal with it since I'm only here for a few more months.

A good friend and his fiance just bought a house. I'll be renting from them soon enough. We're planning on doing Cat 6 through out. 2 drops per room. 4 Drops in the living room. 6 drops in his office and my bedroom.

I came so close to t-boning an auto rickshaw filled with passengers.

At the speed I was travelling, I am pretty sure it could have been fatal.

It was totally not my mistake, I had the right of way. But in India you never know, it could take 10-15 years just to clear my name.

For what?

Rendering from Final Cut X and Motion.

The Minis would run Compressor 4 and then they would render. Over the network as needed. The HP would be used using some type of render software. Then we compare which route is easier / cheaper / more efficient.

We only have 3 months with those. Then they get moved to another department. It's just so we can test them.

The Minis will be used to run FCX and Motion.

Seems like a personal decision.

I've prepared about $15k to furnish 3 rooms in my apartment once I graduate. That's not outrageous as some people like my mother spent about that much furnishing one room in their house.

Depends on the rooms. I think $15K for 3 rooms is high.

If you're on vacation, you shouldn't be spending much time in your hotel so therefore, $300 is too much. I argue with my brother about that all the time.

It really depends. Some vacations are sight seeing and doing crap all day. Other ones are more about relaxing.

When we went to Charleston we got the top floor of a B&B for $100. It was pretty awesome for so little.

Everyone has the right of way in India. Good thing you're safe.

Close call. Don't let it get to you though. It's in the past now. Just be more careful in the future. Dwelling on these kinds of things will only lead to sorrow for yourself.

This guy with the Amiga 3000 is pissing me off.

Sent him a PM on 2/13 telling him I'm interested and asking for pics. Not a word until 2/17, when I finally posted a message in the forum asking WTF was going on.

He said he'd have pictures "later that day" but hasn't yet, and said it hasn't been on the "front burner." Well, dipshit, if you want my money, it better be on the front burner.

If he's asking for $200 tell him you'll pay $100 if he ever wants to sell. Then leave it at that.

No way is some douche going to sell his crap with that attitude. He'll send you a PM a weeks down the road.

So what do you guys think of the online application process for something as dumb as a clerk/stocking position? I went in store and talked to people at a bunch of different grocery stores and they all just said apply online. I looked online and there ARE positions showing as available, for example at Safeway they had several in the area that I applied for. But I just don't like applying online for something like this. Why not just walk in and talk with the manager and hand them your resume? Anyway it's been 3 or 4 days since I applied. How long would you expect to wait? I feel like a retard, these are just clerk positions :(
