I rode the high speed train in Taiwan, it was travelling at 240km/h and I barely felt it

It's pretty nice, though. You sure?

Seriously, one heck of a deal. Got a ThinkPad E420 for $550 new and it has a Core i5 and even a fingerprint reader. Matte all over, fuck yes!

Will not be missing my ASUS G60VX. This weighs like 40% less and the battery life lasts around 5 hours doing normal stuff like neffing and general web browsing/email. The "gaming" laptop could only muster 2 hours, plus it was a lot bigger and weighted a lot more.

I may do a first thoughts thread with pictures later on today--I'm in uni now.

If I were single, I'd consider quitting and going back to school full time for something else. Too many responsibilities now.

There are a lot of things I could pursue. I have about a year to get prepared. I could knock out some easy server certs, maybe some network certs, and maybe a premium cert like PMP. PMP is such a pain in the ass though -- I really need to set aside maybe an hour per night to fill out the application. No sense in studying if my application isn't accepted first.
