Also, its not just defense. The Niners special teams are amazing. Highest scoring Special teams, best field position all year as well.

Its the combination of the two that helps their lackluster offense actually win against a lot of teams this year.

Essentially, we're going to see one of the league's best defenses against the league's best offense, and the old maxim of "defense wins championships" is on the line. In my opinion, offense wins championships now, with the new pass-happy high scoring rules.

Also, the Niners need a quarterback in the worst way. Yeah, Harbaugh turned a crappy team into a very good team, but you guys need a QB to finish it off. Then it'll be a great team, and probably rape your division for years to come.

To my left is a pile of papers and envelopes, all of them considered to have some importance before being placed there. The stack is about 2'x1'x4".

To my right is a 3' by 2' pile, 4-6" deep, mostly of papers, but with some other random objects scattered through it, those considered to be less important.

Yeah... A star QB would be awesome... oh man.

Smith is decent, and sometimes he looks really good. But most of the time, he looks really bad.

By my right foot is my shockingly dusty computer tower, and just beyond it, a 2'x2'x1' stack of boxes, papers, books, and notebooks.

I'm surprised Harbaugh hasn't found a way to steal the first pick for next year from the Colts. The 49ers armed with Luck would be bad news for everyone else.

There's a pair of white multi-drawer units side by side, the interiors are pretty organized, but the top has a 6" stack of receipts. Most of them won't matter.

And then there's the closet, which serves as a dresser, and is an absolute disaster. I have insufficient space for my clothes, really.

I have three empty paper boxes.

With the first, I shall deposit various papers that I do not believe I need, but am hesitant to dispose of. That box will reside in the basement for several months, and if I never open it again, I'll empty it into the recycling.

With the second, I shall deposit various papers that are going to recycling immediately. They'll go out in two weeks when recycling is picked up.

Smith, when they got him, was supposed to be bad for everyone else... but he never really panned out.

Its hard to tell when a college player will translate well to the NFL
