Another fine shoe that many considered the start of high athletic shoe prices:

HI SHORTY!

Welcome to the most female-friendly edition of the neffing thread ever.

1) Good jogging shoes - any running shoe or cross trainer works well. Go find some that are comfortable, run a bit in the store, and buy 'em.
2) What are your winter/camping boots? Again, tactical boots. They're comfortable, waterproof, and pretty warm. If I were camping, I'd wear mine, but if camping is a big thing for you, they aren't that warm once they get wet on the outside.
3) My boots weren't available waterproof and composite toe. I'd rather a comp than steel though, it's lighter.

I have nice Aasics for running. SAS for walking (I dont need them but they still work and for 150 dollars I damn sure wont throw them out). Wolverine insulated boots, which still arent broke in after 6 years. I could toss them and not be unhappy. Black steel Red Wings which I dont need often, but again for the price one does not just toss them out. Cheap sandals which only get worn a few months out of the year but are too nice when I do need them.
And now, waterproof Hush Puppies for daily use in the colder months. Large enough to slip on heavy socks and comfortable enough for most tasks.

Also black Sketchers of the Harvard style and nice black Bostonians for that rare interview.

Nope, I need them all, cuz its not possible to make one shoe that does everything I need.
Well, unless I were a bum living in Los Angeles.

Sounds about right. Last night I ran the late help desk because no one could work.

Rude people

Wife's friend is "desperate" for a new job. Twice over the course of a three week time period, she sent an email to this huge distribution group of people asking for help finding a new job. She is a bookstore manager, is in debt out the ass (due to her MBA), and can't pay her bills.

So, we had 2 marketing positions open up and I forwarded them to her since she asked for help. I told her to apply and then forward me her resume and I'd walk it to HR.

The position closed Friday and I hadn't heard a word from her, so I decided to follow up. My wife and I both suspected she didn't apply. So I emailed her and asked if she did and she said she did, but the system "didn't send a confirmation email."

We know this girl lies, so I went to HR and asked. They received nothing from her and told me to tell her to resubmit. I emailed her that last night and I am done helping her.

She told someone a few months ago that she wouldn't apply for a job making less than $70K.

Uh, hello? The average starting salary for an MBA when times were GOOD was $55K and that was before the economy went to shit and the market was saturated with MBAs. Furthermore, she has no real marketing experience.

So fuck her. She can be stuck making $40K the rest of her life. She was the dumbass that refused to take tuition reimbursement for her MBA because she' had to stay there for 2 or 3 years. Guess what? She has already been there more than 2 or 3 years since she graduated.

MBA's are overrated. Too many people think they need one

Lol. Rough. Debt due to an MBA

Going into personal debt for an MBA, IMO, is one of the dumbest things you can possibly due with very few exceptions.

I'm considering an online one from WGU simply because I would have zero debt from it and I'd get the initials.

Getting an MBA isn't going to guarantee you a job, but it seems like they can help you to some extent - mainly, getting past filters for certain jobs. Still, I'd never go into debt for one.

Yeah, it was REALLY dumb. She is the type of person who will complain and give sob stories but if you give her advice, she'll ignore it. She has ignored advice on her financial situation, job situation, education, and dating life. And now the idiot thinks she needs a PhD. LOLOLOL!
