Pay pal with the seller? Impossible!

t

I've sold and bought a bunch on eBay and never had an issue. I've had a couple of situations that nearly became issues (one guy who bought my item was horrible at communicating and another initially claimed something didn't work), but both were resolved. I have a bunch of stuff I need to sell in the coming weeks and I think I will probably end up throwing a bunch of stuff away.

It didn't slip long, just a split second. No squeal... At least, not that could be heard with wet roads and loud music

15 years ago or so, I was coming home in a rainstorm and I was at a point on this particular road where I started going down a steep hill to a stoplight on a busy highway. I must have tapped the breaks or something, and the car started spinning. Fortunately, no one was in the other lane so I was able to whip it around in a complete 180. Otherwise I could've been in real trouble!

Ok, WTF -- end user emails me. She is trying to add a link to the Sharepoint managed "My Sites" tool. She gets an error message that the name must be less than 50 characters. "I tried to add the site but get this error. What do I do?" Seriously?

Sounds like hydroplaning to me. Also sounds like fun.

I sold a board, processor, and (IIRC) RAM as a combo on eBay once. The guy got it and emailed me back saying it wasn't working. He included some detail in the message (don't remember what) and I responded with "I'd be happy to refund the purchase price minus shipping, but it did work for me. Try x, y, z." He emailed back the next day saying it was working and something to the effect (in broken English) that he was just "testing me" to see if I was trying to scam him. WTF?!?!

I'm a bit surprised at that last. You get along so well with gadgets in general.

Gadgets lose their technical appeal very quickly when the owner is no longer in control...

In some countries a swift smack across the face with a 25mm diameter heavy walled norprene hose qualifies as a test.
