Opinions: As I build my next system, I was thinking it might be time to replace all the case fans (I'm reusing my case) since I'll have the case torn apart and it makes sense to do it then. I see at least one dead fan at the top of the case (a SilenX model, I think). There are 7 case fans total and I believe 3 of them are Scythe fans and 2 or 3 of them are SilenX fans (these are crap, don't buy them!), while the remaining one is the Cooler Master that came with the case. The box has been live for 3.5 years. It is a pain to pull out from beside my desk (very restrictred space) so I think I'd rather do it now. At least one of the Scythe fans is a higher-end fan with fluid bearings and with an MTBF of 150K hours, I think I can probably keep that one but it might actually be on the CPU heatsink. Thoughts on replacing all of them except maybe the high-end Scythe?
